“It was one if those games that whatever could go wrong, did go wrong,” said NAU coach Jerome Souers.” “We looked like a team without direction.”
Maybe you just got dominated. I want the Hornets to play them again. Souers gives no credit to Sac State whatsoever.

It is amazing what a win can do for the psyche. And this wasn’t just a win, it was a dominating win. Though the Hornet offense still looked anemic until Coogler’s 75 yard dash, they eventually would rack up 400+ yards and the defense stifled the Jacks. Who woud have thought the second stringers would play in [...]

Over the past few seasons the home football games were scheduled for the evenings with a 6 p.m. start. This year all games start at 2:05 pm. The change, as I understand, simply stems from preference by the ole ball coach.
In last year’s opener the Hornets played instate rival Cal Poly with 8,143 fans coming through the turnstyles. [...]

Today’s Bee reports that Smith will start.

Sperbeck had indicated Monday that Smith would likely miss the Hornets’ home opener at 2:05 p.m. But Smith, [...]

Just to let you know I am not a one dimensional Sac State fan, I pulled a doubleheader on Friday and watched men’s soccer take on St. Mary’s and the women’s volleyball play the NAU Jacks.
I hadn’t seen the men’s soccer team play yet this year and did not let their zero wins keep me [...]

Ok. Let us just pretend that did not happen. Go through Alberquerque, take a whoopin, collect the $250 k and go directly home. Do as Charlie Weiss did and tell the team we are starting over with a new season. But then the Irish got hammered yesterday so maybe nix that bad idea.
The good news? The Hornets [...]

The Bee today has its obligatory story on Sac State football and discusses the $250k payday.
You can take different views on this. Is it worth playing two bodybag games this season to bring in a total of $450k to the athletic department. Or, as some have argued, schedule the creampuffs to begin building a winning [...]

As the Hornets will face a challenging Mountain West New Mexico team this Saturday and most likely receive a beating, why not, but with good humor, discredit and undermine the Lobos win for being a bunch of cheaters?
NCAA Accuses Lobo Football of Rule Violations. The school newspaper reports that “three unnamed football coaches, [...]
